Testing your apps just got a whole lot easier!
With the new automatic test app, you no longer need to set up a project and manually add your app before testing it. Instead, when publishing, a dedicated test app is created for you instantly. From here, you can invite colleagues or clients directly to test the app and gather feedback in a safe way before deploying it to production.
You can find the test workspace on the app details page of your app.
Note: Don't see the test app yet? No worries! This feature is still being rolled out in some environments and will be available soon.
You can now use dashboards as shared landing pages that everyone can open at the same time!
By default, an entity is locked when someone else is using it. You can now disable saving on top-level entities, which removes the locking mechanism and allows multiple users to access dashboards simultaneously.

Another round of improvements on the App Builder!
Expanded Python package support: more libraries to work with out-of-the-box Improved code generation: cleaner output, fewer duplicates, and better defaults for tables and arrays
Performance tweaks: quick views are now preferred unless heavy compute is needed, improving responsiveness
Smaller concluding remarks: less noise after code generation, now streamed instead of instant
Smarter responses: the App Builder now asks clarifying questions when uncertain

We’ve improved the packaging step of the publishing process by switching from pip to uv, which is significantly faster. The result? Shorter waiting times, faster iteration cycles, and more time spent building instead of waiting. Find out more here.
This month in the Community Spotlight, we feature Shaun Infantino's application: Peak Velocity Pressure for Falsework.
The app helps engineers quickly calculate peak velocity pressure for temporary works structures using the simplified method from BS 5975. Instead of manually working through the standard, you can simply select a location on the map, adjust a few inputs, and let the app do the heavy lifting. The result? Faster, more consistent calculations that save time and reduce repetitive work — so engineers can focus on solving bigger design challenges.
Ready to give it a try? Check out the app here.
Would you like to share your application with the rest of the community as well? Please let us know by sending an email to support@viktor.ai!
