This month, we’re enhancing the management and sharing of public apps across VIKTOR. What does this mean for you? For company environments, this means admins have full control over which apps are publicly visible, while maintainers can easily see an app’s visibility status. Public apps are clearly indicated in the App Store and app details, making it simpler to showcase your organization’s work while keeping control where it belongs
For Cloud users, sharing your work just got easier. You can now publish up to 10 apps (5 of which can be public) and share them instantly through public links, perfect for showing your creations to others without requiring an account.

Working with Autodesk files in your VIKTOR apps just got easier! You can now directly access the ElementGroupID from an AutodeskFile using a simple new method. This makes it much faster to connect your Autodesk models to the AEC Data Model API (perfect for use cases like automating material take-offs or quantity checks).
Instead of complex API calls, you can now get the ElementGroupID, along with project details like project_id, hub_id, and region, all in just a few lines of code. A small change that makes Autodesk integrations a whole lot smoother. For more information, take a look at the documentation.

We’ve made it easier for everyone to get into the right VIKTOR environment faster! Whether you’re new, existing, or managing access for your team.
For new users, signing up with a company email now automatically routes you to your organization’s environment, so you can start exploring apps and building right away.
For existing users, this means your colleagues can join VIKTOR seamlessly and instantly see your company’s apps.
For admins, a new dashboard provides clear visibility into pending access requests, making it simple to review and approve new users from your organization.
These improvements remove onboarding friction, making it easier for your entire team to work together and derive value from your company’s VIKTOR apps.
This month’s spotlight features a geotechnical engineering app developed by Hao Shen.
The app helps engineers calculate and visualize the Residual Strength Ratio (sᵣ/σ′ᵥ₀) surface, a crucial factor in understanding soil behavior under stress. The app generates 2D strength profiles to interpret subsurface conditions fast and intuitively. You can try the app here.
Would you like to share your application with the rest of the community as well? Please let us know by sending an email to support@viktor.ai!
