What's new in VIKTOR (December 2025)

VIKTOR

by VIKTOR

Another month means another round of updates to make your VIKTOR experience better, faster, and easier. This December, we want to share more about improvements made to internal projects: users can now add apps to internal projects, reducing admin overhead and enabling faster, better collaboration from day one. We also invite you to watch recordings from this quarter's webinar, which featured practical sessions demonstrating how to build apps by prompting, such as automating BIM workflows and connecting to tools like Autodesk. Curious to learn more about these updates? Keep reading!

Users can now add apps to internal projects

We’ve made internal projects more accessible and collaborative, so your team has more control and can get started faster! Admins can enable this permission globally (off by default), giving organizations the flexibility to open this up to teams at their own pace.

What’s new? Users can now add apps to internal projects: No more waiting for admins to populate projects with the right tools. Teams can add the apps they need, when they need them, directly to internal projects.

What does this mean for you?

  • Less admin overhead, more autonomy for users: Teams can move faster without relying on admin intervention at every step.
  • Clean, consistent project spaces: No more multiple versions of the same project or missing apps. Everything is accessible and aligned from the start.
  • Better collaboration from day one: Everyone sees the same internal project immediately, can open it, and can add the right apps to get started.

Build apps that directly connect with Autodesk Learn how to connect engineering workflows with ACC and APS and build custom analysis and design apps by prompting, featuring live demos with Revit and Civil 3D integrations, and an expert Q&A with Autodesk and VIKTOR specialists. Watch now →

Community Spotlight

This month’s spotlight features a Train Embankment Visualization Tool by Remco Kleinlugtenbelt.

The app helps engineers visualize a train embankment section with excavation zones and AREMA shoring requirements, based on your own ground line data files. Try the app now!
