What's new in VIKTOR (September 2026)

New AutoCAD and Civil 3D integration

By popular demand, integrations with AutoCAD and Civil 3D are now available! This comes on top of the integrations that we recently also activated in the App Builder on: SCIA, ETABS, SAP2000 and Grashopper/Rhino.

You can use them in local development and in the App Builder, so connecting to them can be done with just a prompt.

More ways to customize tables

Building on last month's update, where we released formatted text (bold, italic, and links within cells), we've added more ways for you to customize tables in your apps! You can automatically and manually size columns to fit their content and hide row and column indexes when they're not needed. Learn more

Faster apps!

We've reduced the platform overhead when running jobs, making apps respond faster when users change inputs. You'll notice that updated parameters and views will appear more quickly, creating a smoother overall experience.

To benefit from the full performance improvent:

• If you develop locally, update your app to the latest SDK version
• If you use the App Builder, republish your app

*Please note: This will be most noticeable when updating input parameters. If an update also requires API calls, file parsing, or other time-intensive operations, the difference may be less noticeable. *

Pause autosave

Want to try different inputs without saving your changes? You can now temporarily pause autosave for your current session, letting you explore different inputs without changing the saved version or its history. 

Compare revisions

You can now select and compare any two revisions from your app's version history. This gives you a complete overview of everything that changed over two points in time, even when changes are spread across multiple revisions.

• Added a reinvite flow to remind users of an invitation.
• Changed the child entity manager to open children in a new browser tab.
• Renamed the "For you" section on the homepage to "Guides & tutorials".
• Fixed a label created from a label dropdown not being selected right away, and not taking over the search term typed in that dropdown as its name.
• Fixed a mismatch between the Guides & tutorials page title and its menu item name and corrected the capitalization of the category tabs.
• Notify organization admins by email and in-app 30 and 5 days before the SSO client secret expires.
• Updated the entity summary to display the missing status as being calculated.
• Changed the share icons inside workspaces.
• Replaced the worker list in the personal integrations page with a link to download VIKTOR desktop.
• Adjusted the message in the leave prompt of editors that do not allow saving.
• Changed the usage limit message to show the retry time in minutes, hours or days instead of only seconds.
• Fixed bug with certain filenames when retrieving a FileField file.
